A versatile, rutile-coated electrode known for its exceptionally smooth arc and easy slag removal. It is the go-to choice for welding thin-to-medium steel sheets and general fabrication, offering excellent strike and re-strike properties even on small, low-voltage transformers.
Description
BÖHLER FOX ETI is an unalloyed stick electrode (AWS E6013) engineered for maximum ease of use across all welding positions, except vertical-down. It is particularly valued for its “self-releasing” slag, which often lifts away by itself upon cooling, leaving a clean, finely rippled bead appearance.
Key performance features include:
- Easy Handling: Its stable, quiet arc makes it perfect for less experienced welders or for tack welding where frequent starts and stops are required.
- Low Spatter: The advanced rutile coating minimizes spatter loss, significantly reducing the time needed for post-weld cleaning and grinding.
- AC/DC Compatibility: Optimized to run smoothly on both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC-), making it compatible with almost any welding power source.
- All-Position Capability: Exceptional control in overhead and vertical-up positions, providing a versatile solution for structural steelwork and repair tasks.
- Primed Surface Tolerant: It performs reliably even on slightly rusted or primed steel surfaces, making it a rugged choice for site work.
