Description
BÖHLER Thermanit GE-316L is a premium, high-alloyed austenitic solid TIG rod designed specifically for welding molybdenum-bearing stainless steels, including 316, 316L, 1.4401, and 1.4404. Engineered with a low carbon content, it is resistant to intercrystalline corrosion and provides excellent corrosion resistance in wet, aggressive environments up to 400°C (752°F).
This versatile wire is used for both welding and surfacing applications, matching with similar stabilized and non-stabilized CrNi(N) and CrNiMo(N) steels and cast steel grades. It is suitable for low-temperature service down to –196 °C, making it reliable for specialized fabrication tasks.
