BOHLER Q E 6013 RC 3.2x350mm
£0.00 Ex VAT
A versatile rutile-cellulosic electrode engineered for all-position welding, including vertical-down. It features excellent arc striking, high arc stability, and is particularly tolerant of poorly prepared or primed surfaces, making it a “go-to” rod for general construction and repair.
Description
BÖHLER Q E 6013 RC is a multi-purpose stick electrode (AWS E6013) that combines the smooth finish of a rutile rod with the deep penetration and vertical-down capability of a cellulosic coating. This “RC” (Rutile-Cellulosic) hybrid makes it one of the most flexible electrodes for field use, where a single rod must handle everything from root passes to capping.
Key performance features include:
- All-Position Performance: Unlike standard rutile rods, the Q E 6013 RC excels in the vertical-down (PG) position, allowing for faster travel speeds on vertical joints.
- User-Friendly Arc: It offers exceptionally easy striking and re-striking, even on low-voltage (OCV) machines or small portable inverters.
- Robust Penetration: The cellulosic component provides a more forceful arc than a pure rutile electrode, ensuring better fusion in tight gaps or on slightly rusted steel.
- Minimal Post-Weld Work: Despite its forceful arc, it maintains low spatter levels and the slag is easily removed, resulting in a clean, professional bead appearance.
- Broad Utility: Perfect for structural steelwork, pipe fabrication, tank construction, and general maintenance in agricultural or industrial settings.
